The ladies presented their posters, while Ethan chaired two sessions. We also hung out with honorary Lippmann Lab member Brian O’Grady, who gave an awesome talk!
Two new co-investigator grants are awarded!
Our work with John Wikswo’s group continues to be fruitful! A supplement was awarded on John’s parent UG3 focused on mechanisms of opioid transport and metabolism within our BBB model. John was also awarded a U01 grant on studying melanoma metastasis, which also involves our BBB model. We’re looking forward to these ongoing collaborations!
Ethan gives an invited talk at the NextGen Stem Cell Conference in West Hartford, CT
Two new grants awarded by NIH!
We have received a pilot grant from the Vanderbilt Diabetes Research and Training Center, an NIH/NIDDK-sponsored Diabetes Center, to study the mechanism of leptin transport across the blood-brain barrier. We also received an R21 from NINDS to continue our work in unraveling mechanisms of blood-brain barrier function. Thanks to everyone in the lab for their hard work that made these grants possible!
