Congrats to first year ChBE student Nicole Marguerite for winning an NSF graduate research fellowship!
Ketaki defends and departs the lab
Ketaki defended her thesis and moved to San Francisco for work. We wish her the best of luck!
Two new papers published on astrocytes
We have two new papers in press! Hyosung contributed to a study from Martin Kampmann’s lab that was published in Nature Neuroscience, and his own first-author manuscript on how reactive astrocytes contribute to BBB dysfunction was published in Nature Communications. We hope everyone will take a look!
Two new NIH grants
We are pleased to have received two RF1 grants from NIH to support our work on neurovascular dysfunction. We will explore the role of reactive astrocytes and perivascular fibroblasts in Alzheimer’s disease and cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Our long-time collaborator, Dr. Matthew Schrag, is co-PI on both awards, and we look forward to these continued and productive interactions!
